This airbrushed painting was commissioned by Atari and used as the box cover art as well as a large format poster reprising the Atari 7800 version of the 1983 U.S. release of ‘Pole Position II’. One of the early race format video games, it was an elaboration of the original ‘Pole Position’, recognized as one of the most influential products of the video game era.
It was painted using a Thayer Chandler model A airbrush on LetraMax 2200 cold press illustration board.
